Dr. Pradeep Chowbey is a worldrenowned laparoscopic surgeon. With overall 47 years of surgical experience. He has played a key role in advancing minimally invasive surgical techniques. He has trained more than 20,000 surgeons from across the world in minimally invasive surgeries. Dr. Chowbey was among the first to perform laparoscopic cholecystectomy in North India and pioneered the introduction of MAFT (Minimally Invasive Fistula Technology) in the Asia Pacific region.
His career reflects a deep commitment to advancing Minimal Access, Metabolic, and Bariatric Surgery, not only in India but across the Asian subcontinent.
Dr. Chowbey’s institute Max Healthcare was the first in India to receive the prestigious Center of Excellence accreditation for Metabolic & Bariatric Surgery and Hernia Surgery from the Surgical Review Corporation, USA, between 2011 and 2014.
Having performed over 98,300 surgeries, Dr. Chowbey’s contributions have been widely recognized, earning him a place in the Guinness Book of Records (1997) and the Limca Book of Records for 20 consecutive years (20002020) as the most prolific endoscopic surgeon.
